HTML templates for decanter.com, a online wine magazine. The templates are designed to be reusable and to support a marketing campaign for two events.

Reusable templates

Decanter.com run a series of events and Shape Shed was asked to create two reusable HTML email templates that could be used for the life of the marketing campaign. After an initial consultation the templates were designed to have a strong call to action and to have components that could be quickly changed by the in-house designer.

Following best practice

The code for the emails follows older coding techniques to ensure that the email displays correctly in a range of webmail and email clients. Advice was also given to ensure that emails were able to get through spam filters and are delivered to as many recipients as possible.

The Email Standards Group is currently trying to improve the capabilities of email clients.
