Matt Cutts Of Google Speaks On SEO

Matt Cutts of Google has published six videos where he speaks on SEO from Google's perspective (well his own but he works there). He gives some interesting insights and offers a few recommendations. Most of the recommendations we know about but it is good to hear them from the horse's mouth.

  • Make sure your site is crawlable. Use Lynx to see how search engines will see the site and ensure you can navigate it with a text browser.
  • Compelling content is key
  • Incoming links from quality sites are important
  • Validation is important but not top priority
